eating with our hands

l to r: atakelt wott, keyi miser, doro watt, alicha miser, tibbs, fasolia watt, and gomen. AKA: delicious

Aster's has my favorite Ethiopian food in town! I want to love Karibu more-- it's so close to my house, after all-- but Aster's just does it every time.  So when I saw a Groupon for it, you can bet I didn't think twice before snagging one of those.

My favorite dishes are the tibbs (cubed, seasoned beef cooked with clarified butter and veggies), Ethiopian-style collards (gomen), and the turmeric-spiced cabbage (atakelt wott).  And that injera bread is just out of this world (and almost gluten-free).  I'm going to make some as soon as I can get my hands on some teff flour....

Carson digs in-- it takes (at least) two to put down all this food!
