Zimmern's Filipino prophesy

Milkfish proprietor Cristina Quackenbush was kind enough to share her delicious recipe for Spam fried rice!!

Check out this article I wrote for TODAY Food, featuring Milkfish, a Filipino pop-up I was introduced to in the Marigny... I've been on a Filipino kick since then!  I sure hope Andrew Zimmern's prediction is right on! :)

While the commentary on this article got pretty heated at a certain point (jeez, you'd think I'd said that Spam was an absolute staple of Filipino cuisine or something!), the post certainly got lots of attention and I even received a lovely cookbook in the mail the other day, from the publishers of Brooklyn's Purple Yam recipe collection!  Cannot wait to make some sort of ube dessert...
