a golden moment

Just another day at the office: planned some events, answered some emails, tried on a couple Olympic medals...(!!)  One of my volunteers happens to be the sister-in-law of American swimmer Brendan Hansen, who just returned from London with a gold medal in the 100-meter relay and a bronze in the 100-meter breaststroke.  Hansen came to visit the kids at Helping Hand Home this afternoon and let them try on his heavy medals.  I just didn't realize how excited I personally would be about this-- I don't know if I ever expected to wear an Olympic gold medal, even for a brief second!  I can't imagine how glorious it must feel to actually earn one...
I love this photo-- all our kids' little hands reaching out for the medal!
I felt like a champion for a minute!
