art for a cause

adorable palette sugar cookies made with royal icing

Tonight was the third annual art show I helped organize at Helping Hand Home for Children, a residential treatment center for children who have suffered abuse and neglect.  The kids have been working hard all through the year to make pieces to exhibit and sell, and the proceeds go toward sending them to Candlelight Ranch, a therapeutic ranch for children with special needs.

This year, an HHH board member was nice enough to donate her beautiful home (where Spy Kids 3 was filmed, apparently!) to be the site of the show!  Here are some photos from the show-- we made over $2,000 but still have plenty of artwork left!  Please email if you are interested in seeing any of it!
