Beyond the Lens: Q&A with humanitarian photographer Esther Havens

From the moment I was introduced to her work, I was drawn in by Esther Havens' photography. Not only are the photos visually pleasing, with bold colors giving life to even the bleakest landscapes, but she manages to capture such vibrancy and love of life despite all odds. Esther is a humanitarian photographer who's captured images for charity:water, Toms Shoes, Warby Parker, A Glimmer of Hope, Food for the Hungry and more. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, LA Times, National Geographic, and Forbes, to name a few. I chatted with Esther about how she found herself on this path, and what it's like to capture and share people's stories from all over the globe.
