At the end of August, I experienced an unforgettable stay at Travaasa Austin, an experiential resort in the very outskirts of Austin. Several months later, my mind will often wander to the infinity pool with a beautiful view of the Hill Country and the delicious just-Texan-enough cuisine, made with many ingredients grown several miles away on their farm. And with a full roster of activities spanning from the educational (chickenkeeping 101!) to the artistic (collage over cocktails) to the outright fun (mechanical bull fitness classes!) to the outdoors (horsebackriding!), there is never a dull moment here... Although the bed was so incredibly soft and welcoming, the hardest thing I did all weekend was pull myself away from it in the morning...
